Skate Indian Head
(posted July 7th, 2008) requires a a coach for the 2008-2009
season. This coach must possess a minimum of NCCP Level 1.
Our skating season runs late October to March with ice time
2x/week. Indian Head's club has approximately 30 skaters from
preschool to teen. The coach would provide instruction to all
Canskate levels as well as Starskate including preparation for
competitions and our annual ice show. Indian Head is just 45
miles east of Regina on #1 highway - visit www.townofindianhead.com to view the arena and town. We

The Canora
Skating Club is looking for a Level 1
or higher skating coach for the 2008-09
season. Our skating season runs from
October to end of March. The Club offers
CanSkate and StarSkate programs for ages 3 and up. Skating lessons are
two (2)
days per week, with approximately three (3 1/2) hours per day,
remuneration is
on an hourly basis paid by the Club. Private
lessons may be requested by the skaters. Instruction
would also include assisting with
the production of an annual ice carnival and preparing for interclub
competitions and test days. Canora is
located 30 miles north of Yorkton
on Highway no. 9.

The Langham
Figure Skating Club (posted June 24th, 2008) is looking for a NCCP
level 1 or higher certified Skating
Coach for its Star-Skate, Can-skate and Kid-skate programs. Hours
consist of
two, 2 hour lessons per week for Star-Skate, two 1 hour lessons per
week for
Can-skate and one half hour lesson for Kid-skate. All lessons are held
on two
days of the week. Approximately 25 – 35 skaters are anticipated to
register in
these programs.
Our
skating season runs from
the beginning of November until the end of March. Langham is
located 27 km west of Saskatoon (a 20 min drive) on a major double-lane
highway (Highway 16).

The Biggar Figure
Skating Club(posted June 13th,
2008) requires an energetic and enthusiastic
NCCP Level 1 Certified Coach for the 2008 - 2009 skating season.
Our season is from mid October to mid March, concluding with an ice
carnival. We have lessons two days a week on Tuesdays and Fridays
from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. We will have approximately 20 Canskaters
and 7 STARSkaters. Biggar is 88 km from Saskatoon and 95 km from
North Battleford. Mileage will be paid. Please send resume,

Wynyard
Skating Club (posted June 4th, 2008) is looking for one (1) or
two (2) minimum Level 1 certified coaches for the 2008/2009 skating
season. Our season runs from mid-October until the end of
March. The CanSkate program runs for two (2) hours per
week. The STARSkate program has seven (7) hours of ice per
week. Skaters range from Preliminary - Gold.

St. Louis, Saskatchewan, Skating Club

We require
a NCCP Level 1 or higher certified Skate Canada Coach for the 2008 –
2009 skating season. Applicants must hold a valid First Aid
Certificate and be a registered Skate Canada Coaching Member.
Power Skating would also be an asset. We have
approximately 20 skaters in total who require mostly group
lessons, with a possibility for semi-private and private lessons.
We have approximately 15 Canskaters and 6 Star Skaters. Hours
are on Mondays and Fridays from 4:30 to 7:00pm. We have an active
and enthusiastic executive, available to support the coach and the
programs. We are located 30km south of Prince Albert. Our
skating rink has artificial ice and is heated. Our season
runs from Oct 1st, 2008 to March 15th, 2009. Salary as per
agreement. We will assist coach in locating other work
in nearby areas if more work is wanted.

The Whitewood Skating Club (posted April 28th, 2008) is seeking a minimum Level 2 coach,
preference to higher level. This is a permanent position and we
prefer someone interested in becoming a base coach for the Club.
We are a very progressive club who has hosted numerous provincial
events and projects with approximately 40 skaters ranging from CanSkate
to Junior Competitive level. We have approximately 15 hours per week of
ice time available 4 days/week for Canskate, Starskate and
Competitive skaters for group, semi-private and private lessons.
We run a bridging program for skaters transitioning
from Canskate to Starskate. Our season runs from October to March, as
well, the WSC runs a 4 week (7 days a week) Spring School in April
and are in the planning for a Fall School in September this Fall of
2008. There is also a 7 week Summer Skating School run privately
in Whitewood through July and August. In addition, other coaching
opportunities are also available within 30 miles of our town.
Powers Skating and Mentor Coach would be definite asset. We have
a very enthusiastic and committed Executive Board who is interested in
meeting your needs if you are interested in taking on this
position. Whitewood, the Crossroads Community, where the
world truly travels by our door every day! Named for the intersection
of two major highways, the Trans Canada and Highway #9, our community
has been a traditional rest stop between major centers to the east and
west, north and south. For over a century, weary travelers have been
able to find great food, comfortable accommodation and a relaxing
friendly atmosphere here. The town has been the marketing center
for the region since the 1880's as shown by our Market Day Mural in
downtown Whitewood. Grain and livestock production, marketing and
transportation businesses are still key players in the community's
economy. For those wishing to upgrade their schooling, our own
SouthEast Regional College maintains a satellite campus
in Whitewood for adult education courses and general interest
classes. Students are able to complete first and second year university
classes and some SIAST diploma programs from the Whitewood campus.
The opportunities for employment in the area are numerous with 3 Potash
mines in the vicinity as well as a leader in the Ag Seeding area;
Seedhawk, all of which are expanding and growing business's. For

The Prince Albert
Skating Club (posted April 21st, 2008) in Saskatchewan is
currently seeking coach to join our team. The PASC offers
programs 6 days per week with approximately 26 prime time hours.
Daytime rush ice is also available. Our season runs from
mid August to March 30, with the possibility of ice into May. A
year round training facility is located 90 minutes away. The PASC
has a strong history of competitive success. The new coach would
be working with a dynamic coaching staff and an enthusiastic
executive. Level 1 or 2 coaches may apply; preference will be
given depending on experience and qualifications. Salary negotiable
depending on experience and qualifications.

The Carlyle Skating
Club (posted April 11th, 2008) requires a
coach to join our team for the upcoming
season. Carlyle is a vibrant community, known
as the "Cornerstone" of southeast Saskatchewan. We
are a young, growing club of approximately 25 CanSkaters and
15 STARSkaters. There is also an enthusiastic group of
Program Assistants, along with dedicated parents and executive
members available to support and work with our coaches. We
currently have 7 hours of ice time on Mondays and Fridays beginning
right after school. While Level 1 certification is
preferred, we are willing to financially support training as

The Naicam
Skating Club (posted April 9th, 2008) is currently looking for
a club coach for our 60 skater club. We
have excellent ice times on Monday,
Tuesday and Thursday, encompassing 12 hours during the week and an
additional 2
hours on Saturday morning available for the coach to offer private
lessons. Currently offered through
the
club is Skate Canada’s CanSkate program through
to Star Skater, Grassroots Seminar, Canpower
sessions and we are
open to suggestions from the coach. Pay
is according to Skate Canada guidelines.
