Skate Canada - Saskatchewan is a non-profit sports governing body who is affiliated with and governed by Skate Canada. The mission of the Section is to promote skating within the community by developing programs for lifelong fun, fitness, and personal achievement. In Saskatchewan, over 9,500 individual members belonging to 169 affiliated clubs utilize Skate Canada programs. A Board of Directors, elected annually by the membership, guides the direction of Skate Canada - Saskatchewan. Funding to support Skate Canada - Saskatchewan programs and services comes from Saskatchewan Lotteries (Sask Sport), Skate Canada (through paybacks on registration and test fees) and self-help fundraising projects.
